After designing a hybrid iron for Cleveland Golf, released in 2013 as the 588 Altitude, I helped draft claims, survey prior art and initialize prosecution of US patent 20140045609. We claim the geometry and ribbing architecture to minimize stresses during bending in a conventional bending apparatus.
